THE CHALLENGE

Exo delivers advanced data analytics, object characterization, and predictive modeling capabilities supporting space traffic management, anomaly detection, threat identification, and satellite mission assurance. Its Global Telescope Network provides persistent, high-fidelity awareness of deep space through a network of 30+ observatories and 400+ telescopes worldwide, supported by six strategically located facilities.

While the business was on the cusp of significant growth and possessed highly differentiated technology, its current scale and specialized application limited its ability to fully secure program positions, as customers were slow to adopt capabilities that were materially ahead of existing solutions. Although the Company had exposure to several high-profile defense programs, its steep, program-driven forecast introduced uncertainty around timing and conversion. Additionally, buyers needed to underwrite both technical leadership and commercialization within evolving budget environments, driving scrutiny around the durability of the Company’s technology advantage and visibility into its key growth drivers.
